Services for William Ralph Wood, 82, of Paducah will be at will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Roth Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Greg Waldrop officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Wood died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he retired from Air Products and was a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church and Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Julia Wood; two sons, Stephen A. Wood of Brentwood, Tenn., and Harold L. Wood of Paducah; one daughter, Suzanne Spiceland of Paducah; two brothers, Harold Wood of Paducah and Kenneth Wood of Pearland, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His parents were Forrest Wood and Myrtle Myers Wood.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church Building Fund, 300 Fountain Ave., Paducah, KY 42001.
