Services for Joe Lewis Edwards, 85, of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Dave Hilliard and the Rev. Earl Dickerson officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards died at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Lourdes hospital.
A retired farmer, he was a charter member of Concord United Methodist Church and a member of the McCracken County Farm Bureau and the ASCS.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra E. Miller of Paducah and Brenda K. Edwards of Kensington, Md.; one son, Larry D. Edwards of Paducah; one brother, Jimmy Edwards of Paducah; two grandsons, Joseph Foster Edwards of Paducah and Benjamin Edwards of Murray; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hall Edwards, and one daughter-in-law, Rebecca Edwards. His parents were William Dent and Henrietta Dora Lovett.
Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Concord United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5178 Hinkleville Road, Paducah, KY 42001.
