Florence Davis

Florence Catherine Davis, 93, of West Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 9:03 P.M. Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at her residence.

Florence was born in McCracken County on October 14, 1926 to Ed and Mamie McIntosh. She retired after thirty years as a school teacher, primarily at Jetton Junior High School. She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Larry E. Davis (Janine), of West Paducah; her sisters, Flora Mae Clerkin, of Clarksville, Tennessee and Jo Etta Stevenson, of Calvert City, Kentucky; her brother, Wendell McIntosh (Connie), of Paducah; her grandsons, Ben White (Theresa), of Murray, Kentucky and Dustin White (Kyndra), of Paducah; her great grandchildren, Xander White, Olivia White and Lucien White.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lois Edward Davis; her birth parents, Ed Burns McIntosh and Mamie Vivian Waldrop McIntosh; her adoptive parents, Okey and Grace Peters; her brother, David McIntosh.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Chris Cody officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
